Annual Symposium - St. Lawrence Chapter Priscilla Pouschat wins award for best student presentation

Priscilla Pouschat, a master's student in mining engineering under the guidance of Gérald J. Zagury, a professor in the Department of Civil, Geological and Mining Engineering, won the first ex-aequo award for the best student presentation at the 9th Annual Symposium--St. Lawrence Chapter, held in Montréal on June 2 and 3, 2005. Priscilla's presentation was entitled "Oral Bioavailability of Arsenic, Chrome and Copper in Land Contaminated by Chromated Copper Arsenate (CCA)."

The St. Lawrence Chapter is a Québec organization affiliated with two international  societies: the Society for Risk Analysis (SRA) and Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC). The Chapter's members are specialists and stakeholders in the fields of biology, toxicology, ecotoxicology, health, environmental chemistry and risk assessment.
