12th Gala de l'implication: student life celebrates its most active members

On March 29, the 12th annual Gala de l'implication (involvement awards presentation evening)  honoured 17 Polytechnique students and one employee for their outstanding personal engagement in campus life. The winners were selected by the Académie du Gala, based on electronic voting by the student community.

Awarded to the student who displayed an exceptional diversity of involvement in student life.

Recruit of the year
Awarded to the student who, during his or her first two semesters or student exchange period at Polytechnique, demonstrated an outstanding degree of involvement in student life.
Winner: Anik Trépanier

Academy award
Awarded to the student whose involvement in student life throughout his or her period at Polytechnique stood out for its range, consistency and impact.
Winner: Éric Gendron.

Hosted by AlloPoly, the event combined celebration with chic -- starting with the red carpet rolled out to welcome its 250 guests. Organizing committee head Mehdi Guedira is delighted with the event's success.
