Welcome to SEUNet 2017!

All accepted papers will be published in the WiMob 2017 conference proceedings published by IEEE, and will be accessible via IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

Following the great success of SEUNet 2016, the Second International IEEE WiMob Workshop on Smart environments and Urban Networking (SEUNet 2017) aims at exploring cutting-edge ideas and results for the challenges related to the integration and interoperation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in heterogeneous urban environments.

The missions of SEUNet 2017 are to uphold the research activities in the areas of smart environments and urban networking, share innovative research solutions to problems of today's smart environments applications development and identify new technical issues, directions and perspectives for future research and development.

More specifically, SEUNet 2017 aims at providing a forum for academicians, industry practitioners and other like minded people to present research on all practical and theoretical aspects of the modeling design, implementation, deployment, and management of smart environments algorithms, protocols, architectures, and systems.

To this end, SEUNet 2017 solicits submission of papers describing significant and innovative research contributions that address technical challenges and issues appearing from the integration, interworking and redefinition of new Internet architectures. Contributions devoted to the evaluation, optimization and enhancement of smart environments and urban networking mechanisms for current technologies, as well as devising efficient smart environments solutions for emerging areas, from physical-layer technology to the application layer, are also solicited.
