Software engineering research laboratory

Our main research interest lies in improving the understanding of collaborative and cognitive activities in software engineering and in studying the integration of user-centered approaches in software engineering processes and software life cycle phases.

The practical goal is to develop efficient software engineering process activities that are suitable for software development in various collaborative and multidisciplinary environments.

Our strategies are mainly based on empirical and observational approaches. We are interested in improving professional practices and software education. In education our interest lies mainly in the engineering of software environment for learning, mostly analogies and user and knowledge modeling.

We are also conducting research in developing software tools capable of modeling, simulating and visualizing, at various abstraction levels, biological systems.
