Research Specification
The group's mission is to carry out applied research and development work in the field of product development and manufacturing
engineering.
Current activities include:
- Machine and process modelling;
- Part and machine metrology;
- Application and development of Fuzzy logic and genetic algorithms;
- Analysis and synthesis of product tolerances;
- Analysis and synthesis of process plans;
- The machining of metal matrix composites and tool wear;
- High speed machining;
- High speed machining;

Specialized Equipments
Machining laboratory (Matsuura 5 axes, tour Bridgeport); Dimensional metrology laboratory (coordinate measuring machine, laser
interferometer, Talyrond). A CFI grant of 4,8M$ will allow the purchase of a high speed machining centre, a linear motor
milling machine, a multi-axis lathe, a high precision CMM and the instrumentation required to study advanced processes and
machines.
