Research Specification

The NSERC-J.A.Bombardier-Pratt & Whitney Canada industrial research chair in design integration for more efficient aircraft held by Jean-Yves Trépanier primarily aims at:

• Increasing the aerodynamic efficiency of aerospace components by means of advanced aerodynamic optimization techniques and high-fidelity multidisciplinary techniques
• Improving the overall aircraft performance by using better integrated and higher fidelity models during the conceptual design stage
• Developing analysis techniques as well as aerodynamic/multidisciplinary design techniques allowing the search of innovative concepts which integrate aerodynamics and propulsion for future-generation aircraft
