Research interests
My research focuses mainly on the
study of granular media and includes several areas:
- Area 1: Permeable Reactive Barriers filters for the treatment
of contaminated groundwater. This axis
includes both applied and fundamental research
aspects:
o
Modelling of clogging,
o
Geometrical optimization of reactive
filters,
o
Development of innovative filtration processes.
- Area 2: Soil improvement. This research focuses on the injection of granular soils and includes several
components:
o
Impact of the fluid composition on
the radius of influence of injection wells,
o
phenomena of precipitation
and filtration of
suspended matter,
o
Biocalcification: soil reinforcement through calcifying bacteria.
