Biography

Chahé Nerguizian(M'00) received the B.Eng., M.Eng. and Ph.D degrees in electrical engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal, McGill University and Université du Québec (INRS-EMT) in 1981, 1983 and 2003, respectively. After two years of industrial experience as a microwave engineer with the Canadian Marconi Canada (avionic division), he joined in 1986 the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at École Polytechnique de Montréal. Currently, he is a full professor in the Telecommunication group. His research interests are in wireless radio propagation (narrow band, wide band and ultra wide band channel characterization), indoor-outdoor radiolocation (RFID and WLAN) and advanced wireless communication (OFDM, MIMO and UWB).Professor Nerguizian is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE) and the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ). He acts, since June 2007, as the head of the Telecommunication and Microwave section within the Electrical Engineering Department. Moreover, since September 2022, he occupies  the position of graduate studies program's coordinator (CPES) for the department.
