Version4 distribution

What is the Version4 project

Version4 is a recent distribution of the reactor physics codes developed at École Polytechnique de Montréal, including the NJOY-based library production system, Dragon and Trivac. More codes will be included in upcoming revisions. Dragon Version4 remains compatible with WIMS-D4 libraries of the WLUP project. Specific open-source XMAS libraries are also available.

The available components are:

  1. Jef-2.2 XMAS (172-group) Draglib-formatted open-source libraries
  2. Capability to produce Dragon libraries with NJOY
  3. NXT: module (new-generation Excell tracking)
  4. Self-shielding USS: module based on the subgroup equations
  5. Isotropic streaming model ECCO in FLU: (for space-dependent diffusion coefficient calculations)
  6. Asymptotic SPH method for reflector model
  7. SPH method with simplified PN Thomas-Raviart finite elements in 2D
  8. Multi-parameter COMPO database (creation and interpolation)
  9. Simplified PN Thomas-Raviart finite elements in 3D for full core models in Trivac
  10. Capability to use the characteristic method for self-shielding, leakage, flux and SPH calculations
  11. Availability of the double-heterogeneity model (Bihet) with Sybil, Excell (PIJ) and NXT (PIJ)
  12. Discrete ordinates capabilities in 1D and 2D geometries.

Version4 is compatible with lambda PCs. You don't need to buy anything more than the PC itself. However, you need to install a complete distribution of Cygwin before installing Version4.
