L’héritage des bâtisseurs exhibition
From Urgel-Eugène Archambault to Robert L. Papineau, the men who have successively lead École Polytechnique were resolutely forward-looking.
Each of them, aware of Polytechnique’s potential as an engineering institution, had the school’s development and reputation at heart. If École Polytechnique’s history is one of constant expansion, it’s thanks to the will and foresight of these “builders.”
In just a little over a century, the once narrow, austere building on Saint-Denis Street has evolved into a state-of-the-art campus that is one of North America’s liveliest hubs of scientific and technological knowledge.
The construction of the Claudette-MacKay-Lassonde and Pierre-Lassonde buildings is part of this trajectory.
Experience these milestones in Polytechnique’s history at L'héritage des bâtisseurs, an exhibition in the Lorne M.Trottier atrium (3rd floor of the Lassonde buildings) that is part of the special activities marking the official opening of the buildings.
