Prospective graduate students
Welcome to Ph.D. Prospective students
Courses are given in French at École Polytechnique. However, you may take courses in English-speaking universities in Montreal. Transfer credit will be granted for graduate courses taken in other institutions. These courses must be specified in your study plan (Plan d’études) at registration.
A large volume of research projects are conducted in collaboration with the industry at Polytechnique. In 2006-07, 24 % of the 60,5 million dollars devoted to research originated from the private sector.
As a doctoral student, you may conduct an internship or your research work in a company that offers a French, a bilingual or English-speaking environment.
