Note: Candidates who are currently/were enrolled in one of Polytechnique's programs do not have to provide any document.

 

  • Birth certificate that includes the first and last names of your parents
  • Post-secondary / University Detailed transcripts
  • Post-secondary / University Diplomas (if available)
  • Language test results (if applicable)*
    *Your high school diploma could satisfy language requirements (see details). In this case, provide your high school diploma or official transcripts of satisfactory completion of the senior year of high school or results of the school-leaving examination (Baccalauréat) instead of providing language test results.
  • Resume (1 to 2 pages) - mandatory, including if possible the contact details of two reference persons
  • Free-format cover letter (1 page) - mandatory
  • Free-format letter of recommendation from someone who taught or supervised the candidate - highly recommended
  • Supporting documents to prove your current status in Canada

Note that an official or certified translation into French or English is required for any document that is not written in one of these two languages.
All provided documents become the property of Polytechnique Montréal and will not be returned to the candidate.

Sending the required documents by email

It is possible to send your documents by email in PDF version. However, these must be scanned from the original documents. No photo will be accepted.
In this regard, please note that the authenticity of your documents will be verified upon your arrival at Polytechnique Montréal so that you can proceed with your registration.

Meeting deadlines

You must send the required documents to the Registrar's Office by email as soon as possible (within days of submitting your application).
Include in your email the application number.
Incomplete applications will not be processed and the file will remain pending for 8 months then it will be closed.
