Respecting deadlines

If you are submitting an online application, you must have the required supporting documents sent to the Registrar’s Office by postal mail in the 15 days following the submission of your application. Write the application number on each document. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Note that an official or certified French translation is required for all documents that are not written in French or English. Also, all documents provided become the property of Polytechnique Montréal and will not be returned to the applicant.

6. Follow up on your application

Polytechnique Montréal’s decision regarding your application will be sent to you by postal mail in a reasonable time frame following receipt of the required supporting documents, regardless of the date you submitted your online application.

However, in the meantime, if you applied online, you can follow up on your file using your username and password on the Mon avenir portal (in French only).

Also, if you realize that you must correct any information after your payment has been made, do not fill out a new application. Instead, write to registraire@polymtl.ca and specify the application number that appears on the confirmation (if the application was submitted online), along with your first and last names and your birth date.

7. Accept your offer of admission

Submitting an application does not mean you have been admitted to Polytechnique Montréal. Polytechnique analyzes each application and decides whether to make an offer of admission. Also, if your first choice of program is full to capacity, then even if you meet the admission criteria, Polytechnique may offer you admission into another program instead.

If you have received an offer of admission from Polytechnique Montréal, you must next confirm your acceptance or decline to accept the offer of admission as soon as possible by e-mail to registraire@polymtl.ca. The full procedure to follow is set out in the response card you will receive with your offer of admission.

For international students, at that point you may undertake your immigration process.
