Research areas description

The Quebec inter-University Centre for Social Statistics (QICSS) was established in 2000 with a view to offering Quebec’s research community access to Statistics Canada microdata, as well as the spaces, equipment and professional and technical resources needed in order to make the best use of the data. In supporting the next generation of researchers, the QICSS offers training programs and grants, while also organizing a variety of events aiming to increase the visibility and the impact of the findings generated by research projects carried out in its secure laboratories. The QICSS has five labs, located at Université de Montréal, McGill University, Université du Québec à Montréal, Université de Sherbrooke and Université Laval.
