The search for candidates will proceed until all positions are fulfilled.

Detailed description

The project is in collaboration with a designer/manufacturer of advanced manufacturing systems. The project is part of a pan-Canadian advanced manufacturing research network that includes a large number of students, professors, universities, and industrial partners, creating a rich environment for the development of candidates' skills. Periods with the partner are also planned for the experiential enrichment of the candidate.

The project addresses the development of digital twins and the compensation of machine tool errors in order to ensure the quality of produced parts and the anticipation of machine degradations. The laboratory has industrial grade five-axis machine tools and the necessary instrumentation to conduct the project's advanced research. Experienced technicians will assist with the experimental work.

Financing possibility

Full bursary at the recommended levels by the school is available for suitable candidates.
