Research areas description

To develop new fabrication techniques and new materials for thin film systems and coatings possessing tailored optical, optoelectronic, micro- and nano-mechanical, tribological, protective properties and other desirable characteristics. The research is focused on the understanding and control of the thin film growth and on the surface and interface engineering, as well as on the metrology of coating properties for their applications in different areas such as optics, photonics, optoelectronics, aerospace, biomedicine, automobile industry, security, manufacturing and others.
