Detailed description
This project involves the Characterization of graphite particle dynamics as they undergo collisions and the consequences on the particle geometry. We will conduct 3D shadow particle tracking velocimetry experiments with varying carrier flow speeds, particle geometry, and boundary conditions. The end goal is the quantification of particle collisions rates and post-collision size and shape of graphite as a function of inflow and boundary conditions, particle temperature and mass loading.
