Polytechnique Montréal wins a Solidaires award for its Centraide campaign

Polytechnique Montréal awarded the Solidaires in the Public Sector category.

The award was presented last night at the Distinctions recognition event that brings together people from the companies, organizations and unions that participate in the Centraide of Greater Montreal campaign, along with representatives from organizations supported by Centraide.

The Solidaires award recognizes the consistency, loyalty, continuity and generosity of the Polytechnique community, which has faithfully invested in the annual Centraide campaign for close to 25 years.

Proof that the annual Centraide campaign has a special place in the hearts of the Polytechnique community: the campaign exceeded its goal by $10,000, raising a total of nearly $135,000!

Behind that figure stands a growing number of Polytechnique community members, from students to retirees, who have shown solidarity with the Centraide cause. Above all, this tour de force is due in great part to the organizing committee, which spreads its enthusiasm and drive throughout Polytechnique! Thanks to them, the annual campaign takes a friendly, festive approach to rally people to the cause.

The Solidaires Employee Campaign recognizes the quality of a Centraide workplace campaign that includes the following elements:

  • Growth in results
  • Support and commitment from the head of the organization
  • Organization based on best practices
  • Organization of a Leadership Giving Campaign
  • Partnership between management and union (if applicable)

The finalists in this category were HEC Montréal, Transport Canada, Public Works and Government Services Canada, and Ville de Longueuil.

Thank you so much and congratulations to the organizing committee and to all our donors!
