René Tinawi appointed Group Chair of the Discovery Grants selection committee for Civil, Industrial and Systems Engineering by the NSERC

Professor Emeritus with the Department of Civil, Geological and Mining Engineering, he will hold the position until 2013.
Mr. Tinawi is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, fellow of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering, member
of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (California), member and former Vice-Chair of the Canadian Association for
Earthquake Engineering, and member of the Canadian Dam Association.
