The mission of the Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la nature et les technologies is to advance research, dissemination of information and training through research in fields mainly related to natural science, mathematics and engineering.
Patrick Desjardins, full professor in the Department of Engineering Physics at Polytechnique, is also holder of the Canada Research Chair in Condensed Matter Physics and director of the UdeM Thin-Film Physics and Technology Research Centre.
