Polytechnique's biomedical engineering honoured at the 40th scientific meeting of the Québec Scoliosis Society

The event, held October 28 and 30 in Burlington, Vermont, honoured three projects from Polytechnique's biomedical engineering team.

The recipients are:

Roger Simoneau Award, First Prize in Basic Research
Awarded to Professor Maxime Raison (a new professor in the department of mechanical engineering)
Title of the report: Assessment of intervertebral efforts during gait: comparison between healthy and scoliotic subjects / Évaluation des efforts intervertébraux au cours de la marche: comparaison entre sujets sains et scoliotiques

Roger Simoneau Award, Second Prize in Basic Research

Title of the report: In vivo effects of static versus dynamic compression on the growth rate and on the growth plate histomorphometry / Effets In Vivo de la compression statique versus dynamique sur le taux de croissance et l'histomorphométrie de la plaque de croissance

Morris Duhaime Award in Orthopedic Engineering
