Among the changes made, document guides developed for each engineering field have been created or updated using a new platform that helps to better identify useful resources. A calendar of Library activities has been added. The site's design reflects the Library's spacious, light-filled image and emphasizes user-friendliness, a dynamic atmosphere and the quality customer service provided by the reference desk staff at the Library.

“The Library's website redesign aims to guide users in their research and their use of our spaces, services and resources,” noted Sylvain Meunier, Director of the Library. “To start with, we want to improve users' experience and simplify Web access to our resources and services, but we also want to make it easier to consult the Library's document resources by making the site more intuitive.” The new site better integrates the various systems' interfaces, such as the catalogue, while also harmonizing with the design of Polytechnique's official website.

From November 4 to 8, the Reference Service staff will introduce you to the new site with three exploration stations set up in the Library entrance hall. Feel free to ask them any questions you may have.

This project was a joint endeavour of Computer Services and the Library. The website was last redesigned in 2003.
