Noteworthy publishing successes for Presses internationales Polytechnique
The Prix Roberval is an international French-language competition promoting the production of French-language works in any
medium on the topic of technology. The awards ceremony was held November 24 at the French National Assembly in Paris.
At the Salon du livre de Montréal
On November 18, on the occasion of the Salon du livre de Montréal
(the city's annual book fair), the Société de gestion de la Banque de titres de langue française paid tribute to Marc Laberge,
director of Presses internationales Polytechnique, for his vision and remarkable contribution to the firm's development and
growth. The Banque de titres de langue française is designed to encourage the marketing and promotion of French-language
publications in Canada and abroad, and to promote collaborations among the various players in the publishing industry.
Presses internationales Polytechnique also took part in the book fair for the first time, in collaboration with Coopoly and Coop HEC (it was also Coopoly's first time participating in the event). By all accounts, the results--in terms of visibility, for instance--exceeded expectations. Represented in the Education section of the Fair, Presses internationales Polytechnique, Coopoly and Coop HEC displayed specialized works in applied science, engineering and administration to the general public and publishing industry professionals alike.
