The day's agenda featured a tour of the institution and a short working meeting with senior administrators. The minister made a point of greeting the presidents of the student associations, the Association des étudiants de Polytechnique (AÉP) and the Association des étudiants aux cycles supérieurs de Polytechniquee (AÉCSP).
Christophe Guy, Chief Executive Officer of Polytechnique, and Jean Choquette, Director of Strategic Planning and Government Relations, hosted the minister. The morning began with a tour of the LODI – Laboratory of Optical Diagnoses and Imaging, where Engineering Physics Department professors Caroline Boudoux and Nicolas Godbout and their students presented their research projects. They also discussed technology transfer and the creation of the Castor Optique company, which the two professors founded together last June with the support of Univalor.
