The pain has eased and life goes on... but we still remember the 13 Polytechnique Montréal students and one staff member who lost their lives on December 6, 1989, as well as the people who remain wounded by this tragedy.

The community has chosen to favour a simple commemoration, more personal in nature. Therefore, early on the morning of December 6, a bouquet of 14 white roses is placed at the memorial plaque, and campus flags are lowered to half-mast, from dawn until dusk.
