Bernard Coupal

The engineer Bernard Coupal, former professor of Chemical Engineering at École Polytechnique, has contributed to the emergence and development of biotechnology in Quebec. It is considered a pioneer of Quebec's knowledge economy. Bernard Coupal has received several honors and awards including the Prix Excelcia, the Prix Lionel-Boulet Award of the Canadian Association of Management of Technology.
The award of an honorary doctorate by Polytechnique Montreal recognizes the competence and excellence of a person whose work or contribution to science or business - related mainly to engineering, technology or related fields- has been recognized nationally or internationally.
