Le transport est rarement une fin en soi, il relie les gens aux biens, aux services et aux activités. Dans le contexte des changements climatiques, les solutions doivent faire appel aux modes de transport les plus durables, à la marche, au vélo et au transport en commun, ainsi qu'aux quartiers compacts et polyvalents, ou ville des courte distances, où la plupart des besoins peuvent être satisfaits par des déplacements plus courts que le seuil considéré.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Les aménagements de transport terrestre ont quatre fonctions pertinentes pour le transport: la mobilité, l'accès, le lieu (pour les activités et la socialisation) et le stationnement. Ils ont des impacts plus larges sur l'économie, la santé publique, l'environnement et l'utilisation des ressources. Ce projet porte sur l'allocation et la configuration de l'espace au niveau des rues et des espaces publics et vise à identifier et synthétiser les cadres d'analyse des fonctions des rues dans le cadre de la ville des courtes distances. Un second objectif est d'établir une typologie des aménagements de transport, des configurations d'espace et des stratégies de gestion.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
