The dynamic and experienced team of professionals from the Polytechnique Student Services (SEP) offers a range of resources and services that aim to help you succeed both academically and personally.


Advisers for future students answer your questions on social media, on the Facebook group page for future students of Polytechnique, during webinars and chat sessions, or by having a private virtual conversation, by e-mail or by telephone.

Academic Success Support

In addition to offering a personalized welcome, Academic Success Support (in French only) offers a peer tutoring program, conferences and workshops to help develop skills essential to academic success, as well as personalized and confidential individual consultations.

Career Management

Do you have questions about the career that is waiting for you after you finish your graduate studies? The personalized career management counselling service of the Carrefour Carrière (in French only) is there to help you.

Entrepreneurship Support

Polytechnique Montréal helps students interested in entrepreneurship (in French only) in many ways to ensure everyone’s needs are met: classes and training programs, counselling services, competitions and many other complementary resources.

Support for Students with Disabilities

The Students with Disabilities Service (in French only) provides personalized services for your specific needs. They may include different relief measures to ensure academic success like note taking in class, larger text, additional time during exams or even support with outside organisms (financial aid, equipment loans, etc.).

Off Campus Housing

Looking for an apartment, tenants or roommates? Our housing data bank (in French only) is made for you! At the beginning of each semester, we also offer workshops that are given by Polytechnique students. They offer you an efficient method to look for housing in Montréal: steps to take, where to look, questions to ask the landlord and questions to ask during a visit, how to read a lease and include important information, services offered by Régie du logement (local housing authority), etc.


Student Residences

Polytechnique students have the possibility to rent a studio at the Université de Montréal Residences, which are located a few minutes away from Polytechnique. The numbers of rooms, however, are limited.

Université de Montréal Physical Education and Sports Centre (CEPSUM)

Located on the Université de Montréal campus, the Université de Montréal Physical Education and Sports Centre (CEPSUM) is one of the largest sports centres in Québec. Polytechnique students have access to remarkable modern facilities: Olympic size swimming pool and diving pool, fitness rooms, indoor ice rink, racquetball, squash, wallyball, badminton and tennis courts, gymnasiums for basketball, handball, volleyball and soccer, indoor running track, golf driving range, dance studios, combat and fencing rooms, etc. all a stone’s throw away from Polytechnique!

Université de Montréal Health and Psychological Consultation Centre (CSCP)

Need a doctor?  On top of Community clinics or CLSC (Centre Local de Services Communautaires) and medical clinics in each of Montréal’s neighbourhoods, Polytechnique students have access to the Université de Montréal Health and Psychological Consultation Centre (CSCP).
