Biography
A graduate of the ENSISA (Mulhouse , France) and the University of Haute Alsace in France in Process and textile materials engineering, Dr. Vermeersch has been involved with the technical textiles industry since 1990 within the Group CTT. He has conducted several roles over the years and now occupies the Vice President R&D, holder of the NSERC Industrial Chair of innovative technical textiles. He won recently the FRQNT Excellence Award 2014 . He was manager of Expo Hightex 2008, & 2009 and remains today responsible for the Expo Hightex program committee. He is also co-editor in chief of The Textile Journal and is the author of several patents commercially exploited by its industrial partners and numerous technical and scientific publications.
