Vibration and Acoustics Applied to Mechanical Structures

Annie Ross, P.Eng., is Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Ecole Polytechnique of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She obtained her engineering degree from the Université de Moncton, N.-B, Canada, and her master’s and Ph.D. from École Polytechnique de Montréal. She was a mechanical design engineer at SPAR Aerospace, and sub-contract manager for helicopter components at Paramax Systems Canada. She has been professor of mechanical engineering for ten years, with the last six years at École Polytechnique. Her work focuses mainly on passive control of vibration and noise, with applications to the aeronautic, nuclear and automobile industries. To this date, she has published some thirty reviewed scientific papers in well reputed journals and international conference proceedings along with about twenty other papers and posters.
