Advanced Visualization
Scientific visualization contributes to the understanding of computation results obtained by numerical simulations of various physical phenomena. For the past years, the performance of microprocessors, graphics boards and image processing algorithms has improved in an exponential way. Scientific visualization has also evolved by benefitting from these performances, thus passing from the generation of simple 2D graphs to complex images using texture and transparency. The current projects are the representation of gaseous phenomena and the creation of 3D scenes through a realistic rendering. Researchers working on this project
