Distributed environmentsCommunication between researchers is of primary importance to ensure the development of a particular research project. In order to collaborate efficiently, researchers must be able to share distributed numerical data and to access remote computing resources. They will be then able to jointly discuss their results, and this, in spite of the geographical distance. The goal is to provide efficient and user-friendly distributed environments, with regard to data transfer (transfer protocols), visualization of the scene (display), and interaction modes with data (interface). Current projects are the creation of a scene graph, WLV and of a collaboration virtual environment (CVE). Researchers and students working on this project
