SOMMAIRE DU POSTE L’École Polytechnique de Montréal, l’un des plus importants établissements d’enseignement et de recherche en génie au Canada, comptant plus de 7 500 étudiants et plus de 1 000 personnes à son emploi, est à la recherche de candidats pour combler un poste de professeur dans le domaine de l’imagerie et de l’instrumentation biomédicales au département de génie électrique. POSITION SUMMARY Polytechnique Montréal, one of Canada’s leading engineering schools and the largest in Québec in terms of student population and the scope of its research activities, with more than 7,500 students and 1,000 employees, is seeking applicants for a professor position in the field of biomedical imaging and instrumentation in the Department of Electrical Engineering. STARTING DATE: To be determined EXIGENCES DU POSTE Le candidat recherché doit posséder un baccalauréat en génie électrique et un doctorat (Ph.D.) dans une discipline pertinente. Il doit être membre de l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec ou prendre les mesures nécessaires afin de le devenir à l'intérieur de son premier contrat. Une expérience pertinente en industrie constitue un atout. Le Ph.D. doit avoir été obtenu au cours des cinq dernières années. Une fois en poste le candidat devra faire une demande de chercheur boursier FRSQ. La langue d’enseignement est le français. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a doctorate (PhD) in a relevant field of expertise. The successful candidate must be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), or take the necessary measures to become a member during his/her first contract. Relevant industry experience is an asset. The candidate must have earned his/her PhD within the last five years. The selected candidate must apply for FRSQ research fellowship. The teaching language is French. RÉMUNÉRATION Ce poste mène à la permanence. Le traitement et les avantages sociaux sont déterminés selon les dispositions de la convention collective en vigueur.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT This is a tenure-track faculty position. Salary and benefits will be set in accordance with the collective agreement between Polytechnique Montréal and its professors.
