Research Specification
The main objective of the Chair will be placed on the development of tools and techniques for an integrated management of the
various solid and liquid wastes produced, including waste rocks from the operation, tailings from the milling process, and
water treatment sludge. To respond to specific needs expressed by the mining industry, the research program has been
constructed around tow project:
1) the integrated management of wastes during mining activities, and
2) the reclamation of potentially acid generating sites after closure.

Specialized Equipments
Mercury Pososimeter; scanning electronical microscope use for the microstructure
of materials , ICP device used to make chemical solids and liquids analysis.
