Biography

Gregory Patience is a professor of Chemical Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal since 2004. Together with process development, his research focuses on catalysis and gas-solids fluidization.

Prior to joining Polytechnique Montréal in 2004, Gregory Patience was with E.I. du Pont de Nemours starting in 1990. He helped develop a fluidized bed catalyst and process in Delaware and joined the commercial team in 1996 in Spain. In 2000, he moved to Lycra® and became the Manager of the Fibres Technology Laboratory in Geneva. He completed his PhD studies in Polytechnique Montréal and has a M.Sc. and B.Sc from the University of Calgary in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering.
