Welcome to the web site of l'École Polytechnique de Montreal's Department of Engineering Physics. In this web site, you will find information on our undergraduate and graduate studies' programs, but also testimonies on the reputation of our research programs and members.

The goal of the Engineering Physics' program is to help our students become Engineering Physicists ready to answer the needs of high-tech companies, but also be able to work on innovative research on devices, materials and products.

By looking at our studies program, you will find out about how versatile an Engineering Physicist can be. In fact, our main priority is to put Engineering Physicists with a high level of scientific and technical knowledge on the job market and with the capacity to become main protagonists for the development of industries.

More than learning just about their future career, our graduates receive all the tools to develop their scientific rigor and imagination, which we think are the keys to live in a constantly changing world. Studies in Engineering Physics at l'École Polytechnique also include plenty of practical work including end of Bac projects and 4-months internships.

Our laboratories in the domains of nano and microtechnologies, of surface engineering, of optics and of nuclear engineering are well known internationally, offer a stimulating environment, a solid collaboration with industries and a high-tech scientific environment.
