Established more than 30 years ago, the GCM regroups expert personnel and state of the art equipment from Ecole Polytechnique and the University of Montreal to offer services to the industry and the academic field.
The Nuclear Engineering Institute (Institut de génie nucléaire), which is now part of the engineering physics department, was established in 1970 and manages the M. Sc. program in energy engineering and the Ph. D. program in nuclear engineering.
