Professor at Polytechnique Montréal’s Department of Mathematics and Industrial Engineering and holder of the Canada Research Chair in Discrete Nonlinear Optimization in Engineering (ONDI).

Professor Anjos’s research interests include the theory, algorithms and applications of mathematical optimization, particularly conic, semidefinite and polynomial optimization, which is a rapidly expanding area of research. He is particularly interested in the application of optimization to engineering problems, and is currently working on the application of optimization in smart grids and layout problems.
