Institut de l’énergie Trottier


The mission of the Trottier Energy Institute is to train a new generation of engineers, scientists and innovators who have a systemic understanding of the issues surrounding the future of energy and of the technologies available to tackle the challenges society will face in the coming decades.

The Institute promotes the search for sustainable solutions to help secure the future of energy in Québec, Canada and the world, as well as awareness-raising and public information about these issues.

The Paradox of Public Opinion and Climate Change Policy in Canada

A new study out of the UdeM Deprtment of Political Science and the Institut de l'énergie Trottier shows that Canadian attitudes are somewhat ambivalent. The report, entitled, “Feeling the Heat? The Paradox of Public Opinion and Climate Change Policy in Canada: Toward a New Research Agenda” examines public perceptions of this complex policy problem.
