The Department of Chemical Engineering is composed of 25 full-time professors and 9 adjunct professors that supervise no less than 120 students involved in research activities (70 Ph.D. and 50 Master students) as well as 20 students enrolled in graduate course programmes. This makes our engineering department one of the most active in research at École Polytechnique and across Canada.
These sustained research activities are conducted in 5 research centres, 6 chairs (including 2 Canada Research Chairs) and 2 research groups and provide our graduate students with pertinent cutting-edge training sought by industry.
All our graduate programmes fall into 5 broad axes: polymers, biotechnology, environment, pulp and paper engineering, and process engineering.
