Program change

• You are doing an advanced graduate diploma (DESS) and wish to register for a master’s degree, course option or thesis option.

• You are registered for a master’s degree with courses only and are considering switching to the thesis-based master’s degree.
• You are doing a thesis-based master’s degree and are interested in pursuing your doctorate degree.

Such changes in your program of study are indeed possible. To find out more about the criteria and administrative terms and conditions, you can contact the Registrar’s office(*). The form to be filled out can be found on the Registrar’s office website. A $75 fee will be charged.

Direct entry from the Master’s to the Doctorate Program

Would you like to further your master’s research topic within the framework of a doctorate program? Your application will have to be supported by your department and approved by your research supervisor. You should then fill out the Registrar’s office form entitled “Passage de la maîtrise au doctorat(*)” (Direct entry from the Master’s to the Doctorate program), as well as an application form(*). A $50 fee will be charged.

Subsequently, the Registrar’s Office will issue on the notice of receipt a comprehensive list of documents to be attached to your file.
