Paula M. Wood-Adams is a Full Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She is also the current Dean of Graduate Studies at Concordia. She obtained her BSc in chemical engineering from the University of Alberta and her MEng and PhD in chemical engineering from McGill University. In 2001 she received the NSERC University Faculty Award which was renewed in 2004. She was awarded a Canada Foundation for Innovation New Opportunities infrastructure grant which allowed her to set up the Laboratory for the Physics of Advanced Materials. In 2006 she was awarded a Concordia University Research Chair. She is very active in research with her main interests being in viscoelasticity and polymer characterization as reflected in her 27 publications in scientific journals.
