Radhouane MASMOUDI is Professor of Civil Engineering at the Universite de Sherbrooke. He has obtained his engineering degree from the Universite Laval, his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke and has completed his academic experience with an industrial post-doctoral training in the field of composite materials. His research interests include the development, the experimental evaluation and the numerical modeling of the short and long terms structural behavior of new Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) products.

Actual research interests

  • Structural modelling of FRP-reinforced concrete elements
  • Durability of FRP reinforcement
  • Evaluation of thermal effects on the transverse expansion and the bond properties of FRP bars embedded in concrete
  • Development and modelling of the structural behaviour of new FRP poles
