Biography

Gilbert Lebrun is Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières (UQTR), Quebec, Canada. He has obtained his engineering degree and his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique of Montreal (Montreal, Canada). He has been involved in the analysis, design, shaping and fabrication of many composite parts for Camoplast Inc. and Composites Atlantic Limited (EADS, Aerospace division of Canada). From 1999 to 2003, he was research officer at the Industrial Materials Institute of the National Research Council of Canada (IMI-NRC) where he was mainly involved in the processing and characterization of continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites. He is author of several publications in the processing and characterization of composite materials.
