Martine Dubé is a Professor in the department of Mechanical Engineering at Ecole de technologie supérieure. She is a member of the Processing and Characterization of Composite Materials Laboratory (LFCMC). She is interested into processing and welding of high performance thermoplastic composites for aerospace applications. Her experience on this subject partly comes from her PhD studies at McGill University as well as the National Research Council - Canada and the Delft University of Technology where she spent a few months. Before her appointment as a professor, she worked at Bombardier Aerospace where her main mandate was to develop methodologies for repairing composite structures as well as performing mechanical analysis of composite structures. She also worked at Ecole Polytechnique in Paris for two years as a post-doctoral fellow where she used continuum damage mechanics modelling to predict the damage created in a material subjected to a thermal shock.

Actual research interests

  • Compression moulding of thermoplastic composites
  • Joining of composite materials
  • Repair of thermosetting and thermoplastic composite structures
